What’s African Mango?
It is a wild fruit from Africa which has a high weight losing power to reduce the level of lipids in the body.
Claims touting the effect of this fruit on weight loss and lipid levels in the blood are supported and proven by some scientific studies.
And while this research is still in its infancy, two of the studies done by Judith Ngondi and his colleagues at the University of Yaounde (in 2005 and 2009) have already shown promising results.
Currently, there is no scientific documentation proving that standard mangoes can have the same effects as African Mango. We should perhaps investigate more!
Why is it so Popular?
In Oprah Winfrey’s very popular television show in the United States, the doctor came to prove the effectiveness of the African Mango. According to this famous doctor, the African mango contained in this dietary supplement would lose about 5 pounds in less than a month. It is also very effective in reducing cholesterol and diabetes and helps fight fatigue by increasing your energy. Your weight loss is real and does not cause any adverse effects for your body.
The benefits and results of African mango have made African Mango a very popular weight loss supplement. The majority of consumers are 100% satisfied. Forget the usual draconian diets now, African Mango helps you to refine your body shape. African Mango has become the flagship product of weight loss pills.
Who else, apart from an African researcher, might be interested in studying this fruit? The African mango aroused the interest of a whole team of scientists who conducted two successive studies.
In their first study in 2005, Dr. Ngondi and his team evaluated the effect of African Mango fruit extracts on obesity and lipid levels in the blood.
The study involved 40 Cameroonian subjects with a BMI greater than 25 and an average age of 42, who were randomly divided into two distinct groups.
A first treatment group consisting of 28 individuals received a dose of 3 x 350 mg extracts of African Mango, 3 times daily and one hour before meals (for a total exceeding 3.15 g per day).
The control group of 12 remaining individuals, have received the same dose of pills, but this time it is a placebo containing sound. All participants followed a similar diet.
The treatment lasted 4 weeks. The final results showed that, on average, people in the treatment group lost almost 5% of their respective weight.
The people in the control group lost 1.3% of their weight; a difference of the order of 3.7%. This is a significant difference, but not conclusive.
This study showed a significant reduction in the overall blood level of cholesterol, triglycerides and bad cholesterol (LDL). At the same time, the blood concentration of the good cholesterol (HDL) in the group taking African Mango has increased significantly. Basically, researchers have noticed a decrease in the level of carbohydrates in the blood.
In 2009, Dr. Ngondi and his colleges of the University of Yaounde in Cameroon repeated their study with 102 volunteers.
This sample included people with normal weight and overweight or obese people. The objective was to test the effect of IGOB131, an extract of the Irvingia Gabonensis plant .
Once again, the volunteers were divided into a treatment group and a control group. Each subject following his group, received 150mg of IGOB131 for the first and placebo for the second.
The conditions for taking the substance are the same for both groups, 30-60 minutes before the meal or dinner and this during a period that spans 10 weeks.
The researchers found similar results to the 2005 study. The treatment group experienced a small loss of weight and improved blood lipid levels.
The authors of the study state that African Mango extract IGOB131 could be a useful way to fight the global epidemic of obesity, hyperlipemia and related diseases.
How Does it Work?
African Mango helps stimulate adiponectin and control leptin in your body, allowing you to feel fuller more quickly. Your stomach should therefore absorb fewer calories and you will lose weight gradually thanks to the African mango.
By stimulating metabolism and increasing energy levels, African Mango helps you eliminate fat cells from your body. Thus, you should spend more and lose more calories and therefore refine your silhouette.
African mango is known to contain powerful antioxidants, vitamins and minerals essential to keep the body healthy. This explains the benefits of this weight loss fruit on the immune system and on the body.
Ngondi and his team have another theory that African Mango probably contains a soluble fiber similar to other fibers found in the sound and apples for example.
This fiber would act as a laxative. It may slow down the emptying of the stomach by producing a feeling of fullness and decrease the absorption of glucose in the blood, which may help to control insulin levels and prevent insulin resistance.
On the other hand, soluble fiber binds to bile acids in the intestine and eliminates them with stool. As a result, the body and to fill this gap, is forced to produce more bile acids from cholesterol, this has the effect of lowering the overall cholesterol level.
Finally, the soluble fiber of African Mango ( Irvingia Gabonensis ) has the same effects as many other soluble fibers found in many fruits, vegetables and plants.
